Tiger Bites is a nutrition station in the Olympic weight room at the University of Memphis. I've done Tiger Bites for the past 3 semesters and enjoy it. It's a great way to connect with other student-athletes. I was responsible for making smoothies, stocking snacks, and keeping the station clean. It was a fairly simple volunteer opportunity but I would recommend it to anyone interested.

it was a great experience. I helped out with the Boo-Thru that the local elementary school hosted. All we did was pass out candy to kids while they drove thru. Even though it was simple, I could tell the kids really enjoyed it. It was a COVID safe way for many children to go trick-or-treating. I would highly recommend this volunteer opportunity!

I had a good time during this over the semester. My responsibility was to get the fueling station ready for the baseball and softball team during their lifting session. It was a fairly easy opportunity. The hardest part was the number of people and keeping track of everyone. I would like to do sports nutrition after I graduate, so the opportunity was very helpful for me. It encouraged me to stay on track with what I wanted to do. This volunteer opportunity focused more on my own learning and experience and my impact on someone else. The people I worked with were grateful, but I don't think they fully understand my role of being there.
