Child and Family Advocates of Cuyahoga County (CFACC) is a nonprofit organization housed within the Juvenile Court that is dedicated to improving the lives of local abused and neglected children currently in supervised custody and foster care. CFACC approaches child advocacy in a unique way. Attorney Guardians ad Litem (GAL) and Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers are assigned as partners to advocate for the best interests of the children in a family, whether one child or a sibling group. This dual representation model enhances the quality of representation advocacy provided for children in the Juvenile Court. Both the CASA and GAL bring different skills and different perspectives; however, each has one common goal – providing the highest quality advocacy for the best interests of each child.
Mission: To make a difference for every child served through advocacy, education, and collaborative alliances.
Vision: Every child is seen, heard, and engaged, leading to permanency and hope.
