The final installment of SWW student's Senior Projects is the presentation. Each SWW senior presents their original research. Historically, SWW teachers have recruited judges to assess presentations and provide constructive feedback regarding public speaking, organization, and presentation skills. This year, SWW teachers have expressed interest in recruiting judges from GW's rich academic professional and student community.
Our students' topics, interests, and presentation styles are as diverse as the student body itself. With this in mind, we are looking for community members in various academic and career fields to serve as judges on the presentation panels via Zoom breakout rooms. We would love to have professionals, professors, graduate students, and community leaders participate in this process. Our seniors must successfully complete the presentation portion of the project in order to graduate and your participation in this process would be greatly appreciated.
Volunteers will be needed from 10:00 am- 12:00 noon and/ or 1:00pm-2:30pm on Wednesday, April 21st . Volunteers will be sent a Microsoft Teams link to join us for the presentations.
Before the presentations, we will go over rules and expectations as well as panel assignments.
If you have any questions, need further information, or would like to volunteer, please contact Senior Project Coordinator Jenine Pokorak at Jenine.Pokorak@k12.dc.gov. Questions can also be directed to Charity Eddleman at email@example.com.
