About
Greer McCollum, University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Public Health, Department of Health Behavior
Greer McCollum is working with One Roof, the Homeless Continuum of Care in Central Alabama, to develop a strategic plan to prevent and end youth and young adult homelessness in its service area. The first step is designing and implementing a Youth Homeless Needs Assessment, which Greer will undertake alongside One Roof’s Youth Advisory Board and partner agencies. The Needs Assessment’s findings will somewhat determine the final product, but Greer is expecting the Strategic Plan to include other elements, such as a comprehensive by-name list of young people who are experiencing homelessness and new funding streams to develop youth-specific interventions.
