Description
Want to learn more about Guatemala: What Makes a House a Home? Attend an information session.

Flanked by mountains and three volcanoes, Antigua, Guatemala, combines colonial architecture with Mayan influence. Guatemala has a complex history and a rich culture and lifestyle. Students will participate in salsa dance lesssons, making chocolate, playing soccor with the masons, and attend the markets. While in Guatemala, p
articipants will assist masons in building a block home for a local Mayan family. 

Students will register for Sociology 398 for credit hours. Spanish is not required, however, if you are looking to increase your spanish speaking skills, Guatemala is an excellent site. Student will enjoy the accomodations and conversations with our host family.
