Bridges Family Center is growing and looking for qualified volunteers and interns who are interested in supporting families by providing a unique array of services to assist families going through difficult family life transitions. Bridges Family Center uses trauma sensitive and evidence based practices to help support families ordered to supervised visitation. Volunteers and interns will have opportunities to work with area agencies and court designated supports on providing support to families who are receiving supervised visitation and learn professional court reporting and documentation. Interns and volunteers will receive training on how to work with divorced and separated families struggling with conflict related to custody, safe exchanges, foster placements, and domestic violence. Social work and mental health therapy supervision will be provided by a licensed clinician. Typical hours are between 3:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday and 8:00-5:00 on Saturdays.
